I posted in 2015: "I saw him many years ago when he was in his 20s. My impression from then was that he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I wouldn't be surprised if the dishonesty is symptomatic of a guy who doesn't have a realistic alternative so, as he ages, he is increasingly desperate to survive in the profession."
I believe my meeting with him was over twenty years ago, so this matches Sixty+'s view. And, when I met him, he struck me as either pretty dense or else somewhat drug-addled or both. You have to give him a little credit for having survived this long and you also have to sort of pity him for probably having few, if any, other options. But don't go anywhere near him.
