Gay HS Students Made to Read Bible as Punishment for Holding Hands

Has anyone heard the about two gay students holding hands at North Bend High School in Oregon, being forced to read the Bible as punishment? From what I understand, the school is trying to transfer a counselor who was trying to help the students. Other accusations involving homophobic slurs and actions from some students and faculty were also reported. In fact, one story involves the principal's son calling gay students homophobic names. The ACLU and state department of education are now involved.

If this is a public high school, I hope they get the shit sued out of them. As an atheist, I would be livid if they forced my children to read the Bible in a public school.

Update: ACLU had a hearing which resulted in the principal and resource police officer being removed, and oversight from the department of education (state?).
