Not sure if this is in the correct forum but visiting Cairo, Aswan and Luxor next month and cannot find any info on bars Clubs or Escorts here or on Rentboy.

 

Does anybody know if Egypt has any Escort Scene and if so phone numbers or where to go?

You are going to visit some of the greatest cultural wonders of the world and your thinking about escorts? I think you need your head examined in more ways than one. Egypt makes Rome and Greece look like tiny insignificant village dumps.

 

Abu Simbal is a spectacular monument in the middle of the desert - no town, just an airport to fly in and out of to see the temples.

 

Luxor is spectacular, especially the indescribable Valley of the Kings (and Queens - no, not that kind!) as well as Karnak and Luxor. Yes, it is a city. Don't miss the Sound & Light show at Luxor. Breathtaking. (A guide at Luxor showed me a very priapic phallic carving but I didn't perceive this as a sex opportunity; a very ancient carving not different from drawings you see in NY subway.)

 

Cairo, ugh! Probably for tiny amount of baksheesh you could score with one of the camel drivers (if you're really desparate; there is no dentistry in all of Egypt)) at the Pyramids and just skip going inside the Great Pyramid. A friend of mine swears he got laid repeatedly at the Egyptian Museum (spectacular exhibits but filthy; hasn't been cleaned in 5000 years).

 

I was there in 1980's. Maybe Egypt has changed. Maybe not. Sucking dick wasn't why I went.

Thanks, I think! I didn't think they were "sensitive". Frankly, I was shocked at the original question.

 

Someone asked, "But what will I do at night?" (Well, I did mention the S&L at Luxor and there are S&Ls at Pyramid/Sphinx which I did not see) However, Egypt is extremely hot (temperature, not erotic tricks) and IF you really DO make efforts to see the the monuments, it is EXHAUSTING!!! You will be walking for hours in the heat (even with bus tours) - one of the reasons I minimized Rome & Greece. Even though you are young, worked out, and horny (when you wake up in morning), you will be in no shape for much fun and games at night - unless you sleep in next day and skip the sights for which you allegedly decided to visit Egypt. And I repeat: Egyptians may have invented trephination but dentistry has never come there in the late 20th century. And what is under those "burkas" (or whatever what the men wear are called), I wouldn't even want to think about!

 

Not incidentally, Abu Simbel is an incredible creation of ancient Egypt but also a wonder of 20th century technology to have been saved from being lost with the construction of Aswan Dam. I hope your tour does include a boat trip down the Nile (e.g. Aswan to Luxor). You will get an even more in depth view of the country. It is relaxing and very interesting (with shore trips) and I have zero info about possibity of scoring - cruizing, yes. But again, a bit shocking as to contemporary life in Egypt outside Cairo.

 

Of all trips I have taken over most of the world, Egypt ranks #1 as most memorable.

Keep in mind that gay sex in Egypt, like in most moslem countries, is illegal, and being a westerner may or may not shelter you. It depends on who you know and how big your bribe might be. On the other hand, there most likely will be many "poor boys" who will gladly let you have a go at their hookahs for a minimal price. The problem is that your new local friend most likely will not be allowed to accompany you to your room. And think twice and hard before going anywhere he might suggest... even if it's safe, it may not be the oasis you dreamt of. In fact it'd likely be worse than anything you could imagine.

 

Any other gay nightlife, and any "high end" (ie; with good teeth) escorts are most likely to be found in the bars at the western hotels, like the Hyatt or the Hilton. Even then discetion is advised. Unless you are terribly fearless, or have a long, long time to ease yourself discreetly into the scene, I'd forego looking for sex in Egypt. It'n not worth the risks.

I am going to be in Egypt in March too! And I am so excited to be back there after many many years. Thanks Jocoluver for all that information, it made me look forward to it even more.

I understand how Jocoluver would chastize you about looking for sex there, but I have to confess that I find egyptian men to be very very sexy. (Teeth not-withstanding.)

I hope that you have a lot of fun both in your cultural excursions and your -hopefully successful sexual escapades.

Why don't you chill, dude? What gay man has ever gone to any city in any country in the world, and not wondered about what the gay life is like, and didn't want to explore the local gay scene and/or hook up with the locals?

 

In case you haven't noticed, this site is a site all about gay sex, gay escorts and the gay scene in general. So, your reply to the op, imo, comes across as both SNOTTY and SNOBBY, and were totally out of line with the spirit of this board. :-(

 

Perhaps you should post your rantings and ravings to the Smithsonian Museum Tour web site? After all, some of us find living cock so much more interesting than mummified dick! :7
