Army Charges 7 in Sex-For-Money Web Site

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Army has charged seven members of the celebrated 82nd Airborne Division with engaging in sex for money on a Web site, authorities said Friday.

 

Three of the soldiers face courts-martial on charges of sodomy, pandering and wrongfully engaging in sexual acts for money while being filmed, according to a statement released Friday by the military.

 

Four other soldiers, who were not named, received nonjudicial punishments.

 

The Army has recommended that all be discharged.

 

While the charges do not mention the name of the site, the division has said previously it was investigating allegations that soldiers appeared on a gay porn Web site. A spokesman for the division said Friday the charges are a result of that investigation.

That's the one. They actually pulled most of their member-only content when the story broke so the grunts on base wouldn't be able to find out who to bash.

 

Like I said when the story first broke, this happens every five years or so. The Pentagon brass whuffs and puffs about "conduct unbecoming", some sacrificial lambs (who are probably otherwise model soldiers) get discharged, the brass pat themselves on the back, and everyone forgets about it. A month later, the cameras are rolling again.
