Jake has been overlooked by a lot of the award giving bodies. Heath's performance has overshadowed his. It is wonderful that he is getting some deserved recognition now.

I think he is going to be a dark horse for the Oscars.

Jake definitely deserves his win! Now Maybe George Clooney will be thinking "Gay May Pay"? But that would probably have worked on Rosanne, when he was a True Hottie and unknown. But probably not year's later!

I'm thinking with all his Politic's, he's on his way to Gov of Kalifornia. And Definitely Playing it on the "Straight" and Narrow.

I mentioned this in another thread. But for those who missed it, Jake had the lead role in a movie called "October Sky"(1999). He was just a kid then. The film is the true story of the rocket scientist Homer Hickam. It's a feel-good film with a nice ending. You knew watching this flick that Jake had a lot of potential as an actor. Highly recommend any fan of his to rent it on DVD.

I second the recommendation for October Sky. I've watched it twice and I rarely watch a movie more than once. Great eye candy. }( I do generally enjoy these type of feel good movies.

As was said during the Awards...The BAFTA Award is definitely a very Goodlooking Award, that suits the Purpose...

"Old Oscar" as has always been said.. Looks like a 1930's Hood Ornament! Very True! :7
