I had forgotten how young Jonathan Groff was then. And I saw him off-Broadway in a small theater, and talked to him a bit after the performance

Is this related to the production of Spring Awakenings being staged and then censored on Rise! or is it related to Groff being named Person of Honor for Lea Michelle's upcoming wedding? Have enjoyed Rise but the plot seems to have painted the teacher characters into a corner.

"Rise" has fallen - it's not being renewed. I guess you could say it was "totally fucked."

Did not know it was cancelled. It is a shame though. Seemed as though it addressed some serious issues. I guess no one cares to watch a TV show with problems they can deal with at the PTA for free.

NBC was the first network to broadcast a musical live with the original cast: "Peter Pan" in 1955. 65 million viewers - at that point, the most ever.
