Isn't it about time for someone to publish a "coffee table" book with all of the great A&F ads. Bet it would be on the NY Times best seller list in a NY minute.

Blood Sweat And Tears: Or How I Stopped Worrying And Learned to Love Fashion (Hardcover)

by Bruce Weber This massive book released at Christmas has many of his best images from various Versace and A+F photo shoots.

The images show today are old from at leat 4 or 5 years ago. If anything A=F has been very tame (boring) te last couple of years as far as catalog / visuals are concerned.

Blood Sweat And Tears: Or How I Stopped Worrying And Learned to Love Fashion (Hardcover)

by Bruce Weber - available from Amazon @ around $ 100.00

this is a massive review and cross section of his work during the past coupe of decades. ENJOY ! ! !

The current A+F images are extremely boring and the photos you have scanned / copied are at least 4 or 5 years old ! ! !

Clothes What Clothes ? Thank The Gods, The Male Models are very rarely wearing them! As long as they keep'em on the Girls, A&F will keep getting my Attention. But they do seem to have toned it down, from what the "Look" Was. But then again at the rate they were going, "Full Frontal" was the only thing left! IMHO of course.. :7

Unfortunately for Abercrombie and Fitch, Bruce Weber has created a wonderful homo-erotic fantasy defined by youth. What's wrong with this idea? The club isn't open to anyone post college age, fellas.

Just take a look at any beer-bellied or below-average looking, over 30 (gay) man; preferably with a bald pate, wearing anything with the words A & F on its surface and listen for the laughter. Here is one case where advertising explicitly says, if you don't look like our models, purchase with CAUTION: you may look like a fool!

Almost as funny but much sadder are the gay men who insist on wearing baseball caps (turned backwards) in bathhouse steam rooms. Why are all of them are over 40? I sure hope Benjamin Nicholas isn't guilty of this wet heat faux pas.

Who do any of these guys actually think they're kidding? Don't you just love our youth obsessed, insecure culture?

I actually liked Abercrombie & Fitch clothing before the company sold out to (were bought by) Banana Republic, and before they started targeting the under-20 crowd. My favorite hat for years was a floppy "Outback" hat I purchased at the San Francisco A&F store in the spring of 1981.

Holy HISTORY Batman !!!

Have you bought nothing memorable in the past 25 years.

A true sign of old age is not being able to remember what you bought or ate yesterday but being able to describe in lengthy detail the nipple texture on the chest of the boy you slept with 33 years ago when every college boy in the bar wanted to be seduced by you !:p :-):D
