The best country would be a place with a big selection and low rates. The problem though, is that if the rates are low then the cost of living is also low. So if you live there, you still may not be able to afford anything. So what you are looking for is actually too countries. One with a high cost of living that pay very well. But is also adjacent to a place with a low cost of living.

 

 

So I pick Germany to live and Czechia to pay.

Rates in Germany are actually much lower than even Prague. It's part of German culture to have hustler bars and hustlers in every train station (bahnhofjunge). They're mostly online now but still...... The rates start at 70 Euros, 100 is fine.

 

In Zurich they start at E200 and Czech guys spend so much time there they set their prices, even in Prague, by Zurich.

 

So generally Germany=100, Switzerland=200 and places like Czech are one or the other depending on how much they go to Zurich.

 

I like the German scene fine. The guys like living in Czech and working in Zurich.

I have not visited Zurich since 1986 -- same then just different nationalities.
