Skype video recording?

I'll be Skyping with a bodybuilder tomorrow night and want to record it for my personal pleasure.

 

He is aware, I have instructed him to wear his mask for the purpose (also his walls are bare, and he has no identifiable tattoos/peircings) - what's the best software to record?

You're talking to an old dinosaur when it comes to computers it is a Windows 7 laptop. I use Mozilla Firefox.

I use Applian Technologies Inc’s video capture tool - I bought the whole suite a while ago. If you want a free tool, search CNET.com or Gizmodo.com for a recommendation...

I thought Skype had a record function.

 

I use EZ Screenrecorder on Android (it is). Not so EZ on Windows though.

There are several ways to capture recordings of your screen (or part of screen). Some are pretty expensive, and some are pretty cheap. Some may already be on your computer. Your best bet may be to just google something like "record on-screen video" or "screen capture software" and see what looks best to you.

Hopefully, guys won't flake in the future (assuming you weren't being catfishes).

There are steps for Windows 7 included in the 2nd link. (I wouldn't recommend doing the "send to the person helping you" step in the 2nd link, though.)

We have seen each other on cam before, but only as a hello. However he is quite flaky.

If you're using Windows 10, you can use Windows + Alt + R key to start a screen recording.

I've had good luck with Movavi in the past, but it isn't free. I think their products work with Windows 7.
