Check out THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED at NYC's Second Stage. Play is about a closeted movie star who falls for a rentboy. Many lines are resonant. And many, many lines are funny. It's one of the best plays I've seen this year.

And...the two leads both strip bare. The fella playing the rent boy sports a nice long one resting on a full ball sack. His bush is trimmed -- was that the director's idea, I wonder, of an authentic touch?

So go. It's been extended through February, but will surely transfer to an off-B'way house.

For starters, it is already in an off-Broadway house. The rent boy is played by Johnny Galecki, formerly Darlene's boyfriend on Roseanne. He is miscast as a rentboy. I found the relationship between him and the movie star unbelievable. I wouldn't hire him!

The play explores no new ground, especially in light of all of the gossip about Tom Cruise.

I guess what I should have said is that since the play will have to make way for Second Stage's planned season, transfer to another off-bway house is likely.

WHen said rentboy first visited his client, I found the scene very realistic of a first pay encounter, especially the way the rentboy gets things started, or tries to. I didn't care for the notion that he's light fingered, a stereotype (and, I'm happy to say, untrue in my experience).

I'd chow down that cock and suck those balls for desert anytime.

True, the outline of the plot is old news. The nub of the play, imho, is the ways the characters evade their true feelings. Candid and shrewd as she is, the agent long ago turned off her emotions. The movie boy flirts with his, then chokes them back. Only the rentboy takes a sharp focus look at himself.

Well, here's what I posted last month when I saw the show:

"On Saturday night I saw The Little Dog Laughed, starring the kid from Roseanne who played the daughter's boyfriend. He played a male hustler dating a Tom Cruise type star. Even though his genitals were quite nice, he didn't come across as well cast for the role. The play was pretty much a dog..."

His genitals were fully evident that night for about two seconds. Has he extended his display?

No, he just flashes. The other actor (the one playing the movie star, pretty much plays upstage, though his dick flopped around when he got on his knees. But it's interesting that you see rentoboy's package and movie boy's butt, since rentboy will probably plow movie boy.

I wonder: know whether these guys are bi-, gay, straight, closeted? The question is indeed pertinent since the play is about what happens when an actor plays someone gay. Do tell us, Michael Musto.
