I was rather proud of my school (University of Utah) and their win in the Emerald Bowl. What's even more surprising is that they won using their backup quarterback.

Wonder who's going to be starting next year?

RE: Grandaddy of them ALL!!

I'll be at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday to see USC (Leinart and Reggie and PETE) be first college team ever to win 3 National Championships in a row. 3-PETE!!!

Sorry tex-ass! whatcha get for sending you know who to you know where in dc.

(Darn, forecast is rain - which is forbidden in Pasadena for parade and Rose Bowl).

But I'll be there with my #! all time 'scort! Doubt I'll even look at the game!!!:9 :p :*

My namesake institution embarrassed our beloved state with their woeful performance against the Utes. Those semester exams for tough classes, like "Rocks for Jocks" and "Socks for Jocks", must have left them with a serious hangover. :(

My BCS predictions.....

Ohio State edges Notre Dame

Jawja (dem hated bulldawgs) thrash West Virginia

Penn State destroys FSU (why bother showing up?)

Texas beats the Heisman fraternity by 10

Dear Jawjateck:

I concurr with all your predictions save one.

When Vince Young (quarterback of the Longhorns) sees a real defense (USC) for the first time in two years his eyes will widen and I predict he will accomplish a minimum of six interceptions. Final score. USC 77 Texas 3

Best wishes to Jocoluver and his wisdom in providing his own eye candy in the stands. By the way the new prediction is for sunshine on game day.

HB....USC is a great team, but they won with offense, not defense this year. Texas played and beat a team (the Buckeyes) with a much better defense than the Trojans. If USC wins, it will be a departure from the norm, because almost all national champs, play great defense, and that just wasn't the 05 version of USC.

The Rose Bowl has to be a better game than last year's Orange Bowl time waster. OU's performance last year was the sorriest performance of an undefeated team I have ever seen in a big bowl game.

My USC/UT prediction may very well be wishful thinking as I am up to here with Mack Browns po-mouff image. Ium jes a porr cuntry boy cum to gratnest, ah noow we kant ween but well show up an jes see whut hapents.

YUK!!! What a jerk. Any top 25 coach could have taken Mack's recruiting classes and won national championships any chosen year. Mack tends to take the best and coach them to the worst performances.

I sure hope I don't have to eat these words after the Rose Bowl but I'm still hoping for a final of USC 77 UT 3.

Also; don't despair concerning Ga Tech as they are starting the rebuilding necessary to match their storied winning tradition.

The two games I will have my eye on are the Ohio State/Notre Dame game (sorry Oliver, but I will be backing the Irish. Can I still come to Palm Springs?) and the USC/Texas game (which I expect USC to win).

BTW, is it me or should college football NEVER be played on a blue field?

(apologies to Boise State) there's just something not right about watching a football game played on a blue carpet.

Sure - why not? Our other deal didn't pan out when we stumbled against the Longhorns (shoulda, woulda, coulda - damn! x( too many lost opprtunities). However, on this issue (unlike the silverware and GWB) you won't convert me!

I always want to fix the color on the TV whenever that game is on. Maybe if the field was covered with snow it would help!

I'm looking forward to the Fiesta Bowl on Monday with Notre Dame and Ohio State. No disrespect to Oliver, but I kind of favor Notre Dame because of their quarterback, Brady Quinn.

Also expect their wide receiver, Jeff Samardzija, will make the game interesting.

Does Ohio State have anything equal to these two guys???

Thanks for the encouragement HB, but alas, GT has condemned itself for the next few years. Chan Gailey is a mediocre coach, has done nothing with some really talented players, and was just awarded another multi-year contract by the athletic director. WTF????? ;(

OneFinger.....I have been eyeing these hotties too. So kind of you to post their pics for my lustful pleasures. Pics like that can easily make me an Irish fan. :9

P.S. Congrats to your Utes for whupping our asses. I hoped our coach would be run off, but instead, we're stuck with him for who knows how long.

Thanks for the back pat on the Utes. It was a very exciting game for me to watch.

I honestly didn't expect them to win. Your team just had an off game and their loss was a surprise to a lot of people. Wish I put some money on that game.

He and his family live in the same Columbus suburb I do! Saw him play in high school. A.J. Hawk (OSU's lauded linebacker) dates Quinn's sister.

If they do, they haven't been photographed like that. x( We DO have the Hamm twins (Paul and Morgan) :p

Yesterdays WSJ (not exactly known for their sports) says that the the USC vs. UT game ia a total crap shoot! The only reason USC was given 7 was to get the betting going...

Thrilled that the Southeastern Conference mafnificent

LSU Tigers completely crushed Miami. Ready for Georgia

to put it on West Virginia.

And hoping the Texas Longhorns can put that California

bunch to rest.

Anyone watch the trouncing of Miami? Hurricanes were favored by 7, but lost by 37! (Hurricane season is over.) Any other upsets predicted, particularly USC (University of Spoiled Children) vs University of Texass...

Well, my Irish got whacked, but still that 6'4" 231 lbs Quarter back Brady looks so good. I could watch him all day and all night. }(

Ohio State Wins!

Congrats to Oliver and his winning team. Notre Dame seemed, IMHO, to underestimate the power of the Ohio State defense. They played a great game.

But, Brady Quinn still looks best with his helmet and jersey off. }( Glad he wasn't hurt when he took an awful sack in the 3rd quarter.

RE: Ohio State Wins!

HB....I was wrong about my pick, but I am by no means, disappointed by the outcome...hehehehehehehehehehe!!!!!! :p To hell with dem Jawja Bulldawgs! Serves 'em right for showing up hung over, assuming they would win.

Congrats Buckeyes! I watched most of the game, and the Notre Dame studs caught my eye as usual, but I need to know more about this OSU linebacker Hawk, and his injured buddy on the sideline. I need visuals and close-ups, anybody? anybody? }(

One thing I noticed during yesterday's games, every team had at least one smoking hot linebacker or safety. Made viewing so much more enjoyable. :9
