More seriously, I’m not sure that the gay men I know are any easier to ‘understand’ or get along with than most women. Very often when women are considered to be difficult to understand it is because they are reacting to men acting unreasonably.

It's not that women are harder to understand. Men are just far more up for casual sex than women are, on average. That's why there is no such thing as a straight bathhouse. Sure, you can meet a woman at a bar but you'll need a lot more than looks to get laid.
