There's a recent trend on postings on this website where escorts post a link to their facebook, tumblr, instagram or even snapchat accounts. Occasionally they link to real content, especially when it's instagram where you can see further pictures of the escort, but most of the time the link is dead. I know backpages is frequently more miss than hit but occasionally I find posters on rent.com also cross posting where they share a few extra pics and details. I've also seen some legit escorts that I have hired and had good experiences also advertise there. Have people tried these escorts with the extra links?

Yeah. What's up with that. I've noticed it in Vancouver and Toronto and I guess you are noticing it in other cities too. Huge conspiracy? Feds? It's like overnight they started to all advertise that way. Roll your cursor over the link and you see it isn't sending you to some nefarious link. I also only browse in incognito mode so I don't know if there's any hijacking of the browser of leaving any malicious code going on.

I have never tried to contact anyone through BP, but I also noticed the same repeats as the OP.

 

They are not the most outspoken members of these forums, but I know many friends who have had many great experiences hiring from there, mostly guys living not in a big city.

Most of the BP advertisers are scammers in my area. Using fake pics!
