Bumping this, as I've booked Max on two separate occasions and he is amazing. I think people often mistake shyness for coldness, because while he was quiet during both sessions, he was very kind. Ultimately, I think what it boils down to is what you are expecting from the massage, and if YOU aren't upfront about that from the beginning, then the masseur giving you a good massage and sending you on your way isn't wrong. It is completing the transaction. A closed mouth doesn't get fed in my opinion, so if you don't ask, you don't know.

I simply asked if he would take his shirt off and he did, plain and simple. Perhaps chemistry does dictate things, but like I said...you are hiring someone for a massage, not to be an escort. If you are looking for extras, that should be discussed in advance and not expected.

He gets two thumbs up from me.

So I have seen Max twice and think he is very good. He gave a great massage+ the first time and warmer the second time but I also feel he is self conscious a bit on his English so that may be a contributing factor on him coming across quiet and cold. He just moved into a new place which while not as nice as the first, I think will be nice soon, as he has ordered new furniture, etc. The picture was of his dancing partner, as he told me he is single and lives alone. I recommend.

Every masseur I've ever used in NYC that is worth hiring is at minimum $ 120. to $ 150.

The meaning of “Worth hiring” varies. To some, it means excellent therapeutic massage skills only. To others it means a mix of good massage and interactivity. I think his point may be if I’m going to pay 150-200 for a therapeutic only massage outside of a spa, I’d like some interactivity and good HE.
