Matt Damon married this afternoon. Rumors swirl that his wife is preggers. Ben Affleck was not at the ceremony (though he may well be Matt's best man).

Reminds me of the summer Tony Perkins married Barry Berrenson. Tony's longtime boyfriend Grover Dale then married Anita Morris. I used to see the four of them sunbathing on Tony's terrace. The men were hot.

So true - just cause you get hitched doesn't mean you're out of the game.

Forgot to add, I was pleased to see they didn't have one of those multi-million $$$ weddings that seem to be all the rage these days.

I don't know how anyone can justify that kind of coin when there are people sleeping in cardboard boxes under bridges.

Damon's producing projects suggest he may have good taste and a keen mind. He's also a fine actor. Affleck also shows promise as a producer, perhaps even as a director. He can't act.

Too bad the two didn't star in "Brokeback Moutain."

Their situation recalls the Cary Grant-Randolph Scott arrangement. Both took time out from each other to marry, but after some time with pussy, the boys soon fled back into each other's arms.

Now THAT would be a film worth seeing more than once.

Given their probable net worth, if that is their intention I hope they have iron-clad prenups. Could get expensive otherwise.

Lanky, reading your posts in this thread, I think you should consider putting pen to paper and writing a tell-all book about these movie stars who are all dead now but who had such interesting lives! Their biographies sometimes allude to their playing on the other side of the street but you seem to have been there and witnessed it all. And remember, dead stars can't sue for libel.;)

-- How nice to start the day with your encouraging words. Actually, several books have rather detailed accounts of Cary and Randy and other stars as well. I just read a forthcoming bio of Rock Hudson. If what the book says is credible, half the guys in Hollywood screwed the other half -- Troy Donahue, James Garner, etc., etc.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to write my own books. Actually, I'd sooner write about current celebs -- a good book on Richie Geer? -- and their lives.

Maybe I'll team up with that well know scribe, the witty Rick Munroe. After we team up, we can do some writing.

I guess the first thing I should do if I pursue this idea is learn to spell Mr. Richie's last name correctly. Not to confuse him with Will Geer, who played Gramps Walton, and who was rumored to be one of the boys. What would Richard Thomas have to say about that? What do they say about Richard Thomas?
