Ah, the Christmas season. A time of joy, peace on earth, goodwill toward men and serious neighborhood decorating competition.

 

Click on the link below for a good laugh. It’s about 3 minutes long but worth it. Totally OK for work and has music so be sure to have speakers on. BTW, I believe this is staged and is not in an actual residential area. If it were there would be cars lined up for miles to see it

That's real, believe it or not. (I've lost the link.)

 

One of the tech newsgroups I read had a long discussion about the electronics needed to pull off a display like that, so well coordinated to the music.

 

And I've seen far more garish displays.

 

(But if I lived across the street I'd be investing in mortar launchers.)

I'll take your word that its a real display. I have seen some real tacky displays in the past as well. This one is certainly clever that's for sure. I wonder what it is about this particular season that brings out the "light extravaganza artist" in people.
