I was texting with him a couple of days ago to set up something for this weekend. He was very responsive initially. I was asking about a massage with some "extra" and he said that was ok with him. I had a similar experience. I contacted him and set up an appointment for the next afternoon. In his initial reply and the text exchange that followed he was very quick to respond. The morning of the appointment I followed up with him to confirm that we were still meeting (even though he confirmed the night before) and he didn’t reply. I waited a couple hours and tried again - still no reply. I understand things come up and appts have to be cancelled and sometimes you aren’t able to let someone know what’s going on until much later, but there is really no excuse for simply ignoring a client that you had a set appointment with and never providing some type of explanation or at least an apology. I guess that’s just one of the things that separates the professionals from the amateurs.

I think your gut feeling is probably accurate, unless somebody who had an actual encounter says otherwise.
