Grindr banning accounts because of spam message?

Has anyone had their Grindr account banned because of a spam message saying their picture was being used on the site tinderass.com under the user name jack495? It appears numerous people received this spam message and Grindr subsequently banned their accounts? Any input or information from Forum members would be appreciated.

I got that spam and reported and blocked the sender. Wouldn't it be the sending account that got banned?

 

Any time you get a message that says "photo received" and then you look and it's text, that's a bot. Report it as spam and block the sender.

I've gotten messages about that site and plenty others, but I haven't had my pictures used. That'd be so ridiculously annoying!
