I should have clarified that the value does indeed depend on the frequency of the content. I'm getting almost daily updates from the model I am following now, and so to combine the frequent update with the guarantee that every video will have him in it, is a win win and a bargain for sure. He's also on RM, if I can ever get myself to Philly, it needs to be a quick trip or I might run out of money...

I have only seen Nick Capra's and 1) he is fairly consistent in posting new content and 2) often has really hot stuff. He often connects with the same people so you get to know who you are really going to enjoy see. I would say that it is frustrating if he posts very short vids because there is not a lot to do with those. Or when there are technical problems though that is rare. Porn companies are not going to distribute (generally) stuff that is technically overly insufficient e.g., no sound. At the same time he puts on vids with an alternate angles of something you really liked. So you see something really hot twice. I would say that I enjoyed his site and got my money's worth.

They are not doing nothing. They host the content and in doing so they incur the expense of acquiring, configuring, operating, and maintaining the infrastructure required to power the site. Even if they use another company's data center, there is still an expense involved. They also process the payment on behalf of the individual whose content the member is buying, thus incurring another expense.

The content quality varies. There are some guys who post Instagram-type content and try to charge ten dollars a month for it, while other guys post a steady stream of adult content that is actually pretty good at the same price point. If each of the people who post to the site maintained their own websites the subscription cost per poster would be higher because they would bear the costs that Only Fans bears and spreads out among all its posters.

I understand the mechanics of how a website works. I was referring to the fact that they add nothing to the content or user experience. To them it would make no difference if the content were someone fishing or some of the most attractive eye candy sending me personally directed vids.

Not to be rude, but that view starts with the presumption that each escort/celebrity has sufficient drive and creative skills to maintain their content. And from there, OnlyFans acts like a place to host the content collecting fees.

From my perspective, a don't where the difference between that and any other social media platform, except that it costs additional money for each person you wish to be a fan. And that's what I mean by they add nothing for that content... Where is the value add to the customer/subscriber that warrants OnlyFans over any other service?

I guess you're under the assumption that those models would be uploading that same content for free if OnlyFans were not around which would not be the case most of the time.

My assumption was less that "they would be posting them anyway", and more about the type of content being published. I don't think of homemade video content with the same type of quality. I get easily distracted by production and editing issues such as camera shaking, angles, background sounds, lighting problems, shadowing... So, I've never been a big fan of that type of video content.

I wasn't thinking about those who were supplementing and using pay-per. I can understand liking the move to a subscription based model.

I guess I expected that type of scene by scene work to be channeled into existing distribution networks. Now that I re-think it, there is a value there to be had. Not for me, but still...

Thanks for the insight! :D

I started subscribing to an onlyfans account this morning.... knowing very little about it.

I didn't follow through.

I have a paypal account I use for other adult activities. But, as written above, they only take mastercard or visa. I don't want to link my MC or Visa to this activity.

The "performer" who interests me has zero previews. Very little info regarding his content is on his home page - only his number of pictures and videos... relatively low numbers at that. Nothing about video duration. For example, if the number of videos was five.... five 20 minute videos vs five 90-second videos.... I hate when I do things that result in my feeling ripped off, and I should have known better.

This post was helpful. And I am now intrigued to learn more regarding

Most Visa & Mastercard issuers allow you to generate virtual account numbers to help reduce fraudulent transactions.
