PS there is this weird thing that if have a RM account, you cannot see his listing but if you are logged out, you can. Another mystery to be solved by the hive mind?

I have an RM account, am logged in, and can see his ad.

 

Also, I think he has been discussed before in less-than-favorable terms.

The reason you can't see his listing is that he has blocked you. I made a single visit to his profile through a link to a comment here, and the next thing I knew, he blocked me. Interesting business model, for sure!

Weird, that seems to have happened to me too. His write-up is more typical of backpage than RM... which doesn't lend him a lot of credibility. Too bad...
