flakier masseurs than escorts?

Hey, wondering if this is just LA or the community at large, but I've had so many masseurs flake on me (trying to find a good set of regulars in the LA area).

 

On the flip side, I've had some excellent success with escorts (clear quick communication, showing up on time, delivering as promised, etc). Is this just my bad luck or have others run into this also?

I have no experience with escorts but I've had a lot of experience with massage therapists. I strongly prefer going to them rather than them to me. I know I will show up on time. Whenever I can control that part, I will. I am a busy person and I have no patience with lame excuses. If I get a text/call with a request to change the time of a session and I can do it, I am happy to change. If you no-show, it's done. Part of doing a business is being responsible!

I think there is no hard and fast rule about either masseurs or escorts. You are going to find flaky people in either group. The MOST important thing is to vet the masseur or escort before hiring. That is the key. You can do this by the vibe of their advertising, how they present themselves online. You can tell which ones are serious about their job, and which ones are the flakes. I am good at this and usually have a 99% show up rate. The flaky, trashy ones usually stand out in simple things by how their ad copy reads, how unprofessional their ads appear to be, etc. Then when I contact them either by phone/text/email is also an indicator. Promptness in their response, and being polite and respectful to me in communication shows me they are serious about their job. Get a good vibe first by their ad and their professionalism in how they respond to you and odds are you will have no problem with no shows.

If we are talking about LA, over the past 5 years I have always gone to the escort or masseur and I have never had a no show, cancel, or general flakiness. I probably also partake more than the average Forum member as well so I have a lot of experience in this market. I won't "settle", I vet, and I use my big head (the little head is involved initially.) I also therefore cannot say one is more flaky than the other.
