So I am perusing the Backpage ads and come across this one that spiked a little interest. I do a Google image search of the pictures and discover they are Trey Burke, an NBA player. Normally that would be the end of it but I was bored and decided to have a little fun. So I text the guy

Me: I'm not so sure it's a good idea to use the pictures of well known sports figure like Trey Burke.

Fake: OK. I look like similar to him & knows my sports

How can I help you

Everybody has a twin or someone that looks similar sometimes

When I Googled the phone number I found 2 other guys using the same #. I sent him a pic of one of the guys who BTW looks nothing like Trey Burke

Me: Who is this then? From a posting with same phone # as you?

Fake: Dante. One ad is real & the other is fake. I'm honest up front. I'm good at what I do & don't need to lie about anything

Me: which is real & which is fake

Fake: Dante is the real 1 & mark is my fake ad

I just could not resist and had to point out the hypocrisy of what he said

Me: "One ad is real & the other is fake. I'm honest up front...& don't need to lie about anything" I hope you realize how contradictory this statement is and then you confirmed it "Dante is the real 1 & mark is my fake ad"

Fake: How you going to copy & paste what I said? Do u want my service or no. I don't have time to go back & forth with u

Fake: I have things to do sir because now you're trying me. If you're going to come at me sideways, come correct. Worry about not getting cheated by these other hoes. Your lost not mines

I'm trying him and coming at him sideways...TOO FUNNY

Then the real kicker was the profound advice he offered me

I didn't respond and blocked his #

It just baffles my mind what guys like this are thinking. To his credit though he was fairly polite

He might be working for Kellyanne Conway soon!

What a waste of time. All you need is a videoconference.

Yes that is an excellent tool but in this case I already knew the pictures were fake. It was my choice to "waste my time"and have a little fun at the fake poster's expense. There was no need to be judgemental.

Did you at least report the ad to BP?

I get that you chose to screw with him, sorta turn his phony tactics against him. I can relate to the temptation of screwing with a fake - although I've never done it.

Seems like a parting shot would be to leave a little aggravation in the wake when BP pulls his ad.

No I didn't. I think I took that route once a long time ago but they did nothing. I think only the real person can request the ad be taken down but they have to provide proof they are the person in the pics. What I have done before is post my own ad, copying their ad and adding WARNING FAKE. It usually gets taken down but I figure its up long enough for some people to see it and to piss off the fake poster. I don't know about those sites like "skip the games", "companion reviews (which I am yet to find an actual review on)"and "a sexy service" that someone said in another post scans the internet and compiles ads from (CL & BP) and passes them off as being posted there by the escort. I think I recall someone saying Boyscort isn't an original post site either...IDK just going by what I read in other threads. Besides they will just post a new ad, new fake name with new fake pictures and new burner cell phone #. Like I think you said in the other post, Its a losing battle. Knowing that I haven't given up and still fight the fight most of the time.

On BP a general ad is free. They charge when you want extras like automatic reposting, keeping your ad at the top and such. I have not posted a warning ad in a while so I'm not sure that's still their pricing policy. If it's still BP's policy it costs the fakers nothing. I think until that changes and their is no cost to the faker everyone needs to do their due diligence to root them out and then share the info here and do whatever else they deem appropriate. BP isn't a total loss and escort fees tend to be lower you just have to be willing to do the work and be extra extra careful. Just the other night I had an awesome encounter with a real hottie from BP who I hadn't seen before. I did my usual research found No red flags, found FB & IG profiles where locations matched and I monitored his ad for a week or 2 for any significant changes before I contacted him. When I spoke to him I got a really good vibe and pulled the trigger and didn't ask for a video call. I got lucky I probably should have still asked for the video call.

Actually I had a guy in Rhode Island using my photos. I had a client of mine off of RM contact me and let me know. I look the ad up and sure enough my pictures were on there, I contacted Backpage and explain to them and share them the messaging from rent men that this person was using my pictures. It was less than 10 minutes and they had my pictures off of his advertisement. It happens a lot to many advertisers, but I was amazed how fast Backpage took those pics off. I'm so glad they were fast and they did the research efficiently.

I'm not certain but I think it worked for you because you were the one in the pictures. I would think they have to have some kind of check in place so that any Tom, Dick or Harry does contact them claiming someone is using their pictures and taking ads down willy nilly. Did they ask you to submit any additional pictures? I didn't know it was that easy a guy I recently alerted about stolen pictures asked me to help him I said he was the one that needed contact BP but I gave him misinformation about what they might require. I am going to forward just the text of your message to him so he can see how easy it is. Thanks

Sounds like someone who is less than smart. He might not know anything about a reverse image search and is probably assuming the clientele who will contact him will be of a certain age and out of touch with Pop Culture. Talk about not knowing your audience. Although I have to admit I have no idea who Marc Fitt is or why he has 1.4 million IG followers but I'm gonna find out

Just like any good website just like the one where speaking on now always has things in place for obstacles like these. I'm actually proud to be on this website for reviews because they're the most honest. And when I first learned about this site I got in trouble on this site and the moderator gently spanked me. But my point is this website that were speaking on doesn't very good job at monitoring everything. Backpage does the same thing. Go to someone's ad go all the way down to the bottom and read it will say things like my account , buy credits, and contact, hit the contact link and then you can express what you know, and you surely will get a response from them via email from their moderators. But I guess I have to say this though if you know the two pictures are different I wouldn't even take a chance, please be careful when you do things like that the only one that's at risk is you. Other than that information I don't know much more except that when someone used my photos it was immediately taken care of. I hope this information is suitable.

Once he hits the contact button two Backpage it will instantly open up into an email which you write your comments to them whatever the problem may be. In my experience they were very fast and had a resolution quickly. And i obtained a # for a person that works for backpage ,ask for Pam 469-317-6038 and she may be able to help.
