Series Finale Of "Kingdom"

The final episode of "Kingdom" aired tonight-- our gay hero Nate being tragically shot and killed in the last episode. I was so very disappointed that there wasn't more of a character development for him as a gay athlete. His boyfriend didn't even make an appearance at the funeral and the issues of his deep character seemed glossed over. Maybe it's just me--we'll miss hottie Nick Jonas in his (this) great and under developed role!

I thought this was a COMPLETE disappointment. 2 minutes after he FINALLY COMES OUT, he's shot and killed? Really? Must every gay story end in tragedy? What a waste of 3 years watching this show. Epic fail and especially so because Nick Jonas gave a really epic performance and showed great promise as an actor.

 

Shame on the creators for ending Nick's story this way.

I found this discussion board which furthers the gay discussion of "Kingdom" a bit. The series had a potential for significant development and it dropped the ball!
