The death of BP has been predicted at least as many times as the second coming, so I am very skeptical about it.

However, I did notice a new trend, at least in DC. Many of the guys who have been advertising regularly in BP are now opening profiles in Rent.men.

 

• Have guys in locations other than DC noticed the same in the last days?
  

• If you are advertising in BP, have you received any notification abut shutting down your ad? That would explain the sudden migration.

I go to three cities on Backpage almost daily: Monterey, San Francisco, San Jose, CA; and the ads are current; ...don't know about other places! :)

I've been advertising on Backpage for over 3 years and and I personally not received any kind of notification of any sort saying that they're shutting down. I advertising Fort Lauderdale as Mike. The escorts have gone to the dating portion of Backpage.

I know, Mike, all he escorts migrated to the dating session months ago. Thank you for sharing you didn't get any communication. That piece of info plus the fact that no one else seems to have noticed anything, tells me that what I am seeing in DC is just a coincidence.

I will say this about Backpage the old male escorts are still paying a dollar to put their ads up per hour. The female escorts that went to dating as well went from spending $1 to an increase of $3 and are now presently paying $5 to place an ad per hour.

Well the thing is the more people that put up ads means if I spend $1 now and 20 people put up ads after me that means I'm 20 spaces down. So I have to pay to have my AD moved back to the top. For guys it's not that bad it's only a dollar but women pay $5 to have their ads placed at the top. And there's more women in the business I believe the men so some women that I do know hey almost $100 a day on 20 ads to make six or seven hundred dollars.
