Actually it may take 3 months for the infection to be identified.

Here's the math:

  1. Get tested for HIV and the various STIs. For fun, let's say this occurred on 7/17.
  2. Don't participate in unprotected sex
  3. Repeat in a month This would occur on 8/17.
  4. Check with your health plan about coverage for Truvada as PrEP
  5. In two months, talk to a physician about PrEP. If you decide to use it, you will be required to have an HIV test to confirm your negative status. This would occur on 10/17, i.e. three months after the first test.

The purpose of the first test is really for peace of mind and for the sake of "doing something." It has been three weeks since the experience, so if he acquired the virus its presence might be detected with the first test.

All that being said, given @Trick 's track record, I'm not sure it matters whether he tests now or later - there's a history of risky behavior so there are plenty opportunitiesity to have acquired an STI, including HIV.

One last thing: If a guy started sticking the lit end of a cigar or the tip of an enema bag filled with hot water into your ass would you just lay there and take it?

As I've hit 66 ["Say it's not so!" "No, REALLY?"], I mostly just don't give a damn anymore. I tend not to entertain anally on either side of the ...IS there a side? ... but anal is more or less. And boy, some of the more prominent bottom boys here have turned out to be a whole HELL of a lot of fun.

But to my question: Anyone else over, say, 55, just not care about this anymore?

{Raises hand.}

I haven't quite reached 55 but I haven't cared about it for yesrs. So much fuss, so much muss. I got enough of it in my twenties to be pretty much over it.

It also gives me the ability to hire pure tops or pure bottoms because they're all going to get the same oral treatment. ;)

Does the OP really not know this stuff, or did he just start the thread for the hell of it. It's fine IMHO. I like to start threads as well. But it's hard to believe that a gay man in 2017 has not yet learned basic health requirements for safe sex.

I'm getting a lot of flak for my posts here which I probably deserve. But I am not a troll.

I really want to know what to do in the situations I have shared.

I admit that during the sex I become entirely submissive but I do tell the escort that I want to play it safe.

When inspite of that prior arrangement he still attempts to do bareback, what do I do? Push him off me? End the meeting? Put up a fight?

I know it's 2017 but there are still gay men like me who are uninformed and incapable of dealing properly with these scenarios.

I am a lone wolf. I don't have other gay men in my life to discuss this with.
