I'm seeing it this week. Excited. I'm sure it stands on its own merits without comparison to BBMt, although both apparently deal with sheep, God's Own Country plot includes an immigrant storyline. I won't watch any trailers to mitigate risk of spoilers. I understand it has screened quite successfully at film festivals.

Excellent film. Some similarities to BBMt, but it stands on its own as an outstanding film. Won the audience award at Frameline LGBTQ film festival.
