Perhaps it’s all semantics, but I think that that kind of short hand is really a misinterpretation, which basically amounts to imputing human or divine characteristics to an impersonal phenomenon. Human anatomy has evolved to be more or less functional if various ways, but its features have not been “designed” for any particular “purpose.” Rather than looking at what things are supposedly “meant for,” I focus on their function. And personally, I find that the mouth and the ass to be perfectly functional for my sex life. :);) :D

and yet we have a prostate... I wonder if nature or God (divine design) was tempting us?

A question to all, even if I Try to protect myself, how actually can I protect myself from STD's that can be transmitted by skin to skin, kiss or oral ?

I'm hiring but people scare me off more and more.

Help !

Common sense and staying informed about medical options never hurts. All non-monogamous sexual encounters carry some risk. Whether you continue to hire or decide to stay home and watch Netflix, good luck and have fun.

I've been swamped this Summer, so I haven't been on the forum for awhile. Sorry for my delayed repy, @saminseattle. Fortunately, @Funguy was on top of things. I agree with his perspective regarding the Meningitis vaccine and possible impact on Gonorrhea transmission. We need more data and that will take time. I believe my posts have been consistent and clear, I advocate for the best protection someone can afford or has access to because many of these "annoying" infections are developing or have developed near total resistance to commonly available treatments. I'm a proactive kind of guy. I'd rather vaccinate and avoid those that I can, than be faced with needing treatment and finding I'm carrying a new highly resistant strain.

The other side topic in this thread is fascinating too, but requires far more in-depth discussion of evolutionary biology and psychology, much of which is highly speculative given the incredibly complex nature of the topics. But, if y'all are curious here are some links I keep bookmarked for such discussions. They're all accessible, but informative and useful as starting points for personal discovery, research, & discussion.

And there was actually just an article in the NY Times yesterday about how orally spread gonorrhea may be contributing to the worsening resistance problem. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/31/health/gonorrhea-throat-oral-sex.html?module=WatchingPortal&region=c-column-middle-span-region&pgType=Homepage&action=click&mediaId=thumb_square&state=standard&contentPlacement=22&version=internal&contentCollection=www.nytimes.com&contentId=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2017%2F07%2F31%2Fhealth%2Fgonorrhea-throat-oral-sex.html&eventName=Watching-article-click&_r=0

The trade-off between pleasure and safety when it comes to condoms and oral sex is one that I continue to struggle with.

I've posted about this many times. It's one of my "pet peeves" because so many guys stick their dicks in any mouth or glory hole whenever they're horny because they're like, "it's safe sex cause I'm topping!" Idiots!

If you suck cock or eat pussy or eat ass, when you go for your regular STD/STI screening (weekly or monthly for porn actors, quarterly for very sexually active or those on PrEP, & every 6-12 months for everyone else) do you ask for throat swabs? If you don't, you're foolish and possibly a carrier for one or more infectious agents that are happy to live in the throat and "share the love."
