I experienced on RM that out of town escorts can display themselves on RM profile as being "Available Now" and show themselves as being in your town and not having the "Visiting...dates" clearly indicated on front pic of their profile. Recent experience, in excitement, reached out to one whose profile had the above characteristics, and we set logistics. As time approached, I receive a call - where is your address again? "Oh, I'm not in your city, I'm in .... I am visiting next week." I asked for clarification as to why his ad shows him being available in my city now? Well, it's to get calls. He pointed out that it clearly states further down in the profile the exact dates (even though the actual profile shows him being in my city). Hmmm...

His one ad allows for a certain number of travel cities (three? four?). So if he has travel dates to Boston but wants to tell his home city of Cleveland that he's available now, it shows up as available now in all locales. Another thing I miss about rentboy, each city was a separate ad just to avoid this sort of thing. But yeah, it never hurts to read a guy's ad before reaching out to him.

Ive seen a variety of confusing info.

 

Ive known guys who were here in SF. They listed SF as a travel destination if I searched by name. Yet he didnt show up if I did the traditional search, choosing SF from the drop down list. And he didnt appear on a GPS search... which I assume to mean RM permits disengaging that feature.

 

Do RM advertisers have a variety of profile options to address? Do they need to "check in" on RM to be listed in a particular city?

I know escorts who like to do "canvassing" before arriving in a city yet RM doesn't allow them to post an ad without specific dates.

I like to know who is coming to town, but as many as half of the ads that come up as "available now" are not in my city. This is my biggest RM pet peeve. Granted, not a life shattering problem and easy to navigate, but a filter to show who is REALLY available now would be awesome.

I experience that too. I assume its the man, not the site.

 

If an escort logs in and walks away from a computer, or sets down his phone... thats a tech challenge for RM. A "xx minutes since last activity " would be nice.... but I'm guessing that's a whole different level of live chat programming
