How do I post links from previous threads here in the forum?

Never done it before but I think this works:

All I did was:

 

1. Find the post in the menu.

2. Right mouse click.

3. Select "properties".

4. Copy and paste "Address:"

I just tried that right click then go to properties and copy the url but the url that come up was for the main page of the mc x(

OK, this is my second try.

I'll try again to explain what I did.

 

1. Entered the appropriate forum and saw the listing of threads.

2. Positioned my cursor over the thread title I wanted to link to.

3. Right mouse click the thread title.

4. Clicked on properties (bottom of the pop-up windown for me).

5. Highlighted the "Address" in the pop-up.

6. Copied the Address (using cntl + c).

7. Pasted in the new thread (using cntl + v).

 

Can anyone else explain this more clearly?

As with posting rentboy links, there's another way.

 

* Display the TOC for a forum

* Right click on the thread instead of opening it

* Choose "Open in a new window"

 

Once it's open in a new window, you've got the URL right there in the location bar and you can copy/paste anywhere you want. This way, if your copy/paste skills are underdeveloped you still have the window sitting around so you can try again.

Thanks Deej and One! The opening the thread in a new window I think would work best for me at least till my copy and pasting skills get up to par.
