What is the situation with recently expired RM profiles? Especially when a week early it was active. Reason I'm asking is I have an upcoming business trip, was planning company with one escort whose profile was active, and now upon rechecking and planning to reach out, it says profile is recently expired. Is the escort no longer working? Should I still take a chance with him? Don't want a flake and waste of time and effort.

I take that as a sign that the escort doesn't want to see any new clients, or perhaps he won't be seeing any clients at all. I respect that and consequently, I don't contact him.

With an expired account, I think that the escort still gets notices from RM that he has mail in his inbox, but he has no access to it. If the phone number is still accessible on the expired profile, you could still call him. But I wouldn't.

It is entirely likely that the renewal date of the escort's profile occurred between the last time you looked at it and today. It can mean all of the above. It can also mean the escort has not had a chance to renew his ad or there was a problem with the credit card on file. If you really want to see the guy, send him an email via RM with the understanding that he might not get it in time for your visit. It can't hurt. You can also check M4RN and see if he is on there.

If the profile is no longer active I do not think he can send emails through RM. If you really want him, you can sponsor the escort and pay for his ad. RM gives you a premium membership for the same period of time when you do that, and the escort will owe you the favor.

I would be careful with that. What if the escort really wanted to retire, or not be available for a while? Now you are sponsoring his ad, meaning that for another month he gets phone calls and emails he no longer wants. That is not doing someone a favor ...

You may have a point. However, I think escorts can cancel their ad when they retire. For instance, my boy Isaac Powers has retired and his ad has vanished with him.

My go-to guy retired his RM ad over a year ago. I'd buddy-listed him prior to the ad lapsing.

Still on my buddy list, though not active. (Look back at the ad once in a while.)

My friends wanted to take a few months off and discovered this after they let their ad expire. Apparently, the same thing applies to when they choose to make their profile invisible to new searches. It does not work on buddy lists or direct links of the type put into reviews.

Sorry Mike, I am not sure I understand. So you are saying the ads are not up anymore, with the exceptions you listed, right?

Sort of. The ad is "active" in that it's paid for, but they only want it to be visible when they are working specific cities. When they want to "take it down" by making it invisible, it does not show up when you search by city or name, but will come up if it's been bookmarked by a buddy list or a review. I'm obviously not familiar with all the features an advertiser has at their disposal, but they have not figured a way around it.

Got it. I just made an experiment. I clicked on the icon to Isaac's profile that is listed with my reviews. It does not work. I think that verifies that if the escort wants to retire and stop being available, he can cancel the profile.

Do you have a way to reach the escort (email/cell)?

Right, but I believe the escort gets a notification that he received an email. He can then pay his ad fee and see the message if he is so inclined.

It's not exactly the crime of the century to contact a guy after his ad has expired....If / when I see an ad that first gets my interest, I write down the tel # for my own future use....contacting the guy is a simple expression of interest....if he chooses to respond with "thanks, but no thanks" or even simply ignores a text inquiry, then the client has a definitive answer of sorts....we've all even heard about escorts who for any number of reasons don't even realize that their ads have expired until it's brought to their attention.....(one would think the lack of new calls, texts or emails might be an initial clue to the guy but still I've certainly heard about escorts who were not aware of an expiration of their ad).....but again, if you have contact info, zero harm in using it....unless the guy is wacko, he should take the inquiry as a compliment for the expression of interest, even if he's not interested in "working" any longer.....or just not looking for any more new clients.....if the guy wants out of the game completely, he also has the choice to kill any contact info (email address, tel/text ##) that he used for his escorting biz....that puts an end to any & all contact from reaching him.

Section 27 chapter 6 paragraph 12 of "The Clients' Code" CLEARLY states that it is, Bucko.

I'm kidding of course. You captured what I was thinking. In fact, that's how I started seeing one of my favorite escorts, Todd Dillon. Sadly he retired for real a few years later, but man I am glad to have taken the chance.

I'm sensing a mountain made out of a molehill.

If he purposefully let the profile expired, he will expect some people continue to contact him.

He will either take the call/contact, or not, depending on his professionalism. No harm, no foul.

It he accidently let the profile expire, then your contact to him will be welcome.

Can you do that once the ad is expired?
