A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his boyfriend to death in an apartment in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco, authorities said Thursday.

 

Othman Al-Muttalaby of San Francisco was taken into custody on Tuesday at San Francisco General Hospital while being treated for an injury, police said.

 

Officers responded about 3 p.m. on Nov. 2 to an apartment in the 300 block of Hayes Street to conduct a welfare check on Keith Harris, police said.

 

Harris, 48, was found with multiple stab wounds on the floor of the apartment, police said.

 

He died at San Francisco General Hospital.

 

Al-Muttalaby, also known as Alkoraishie Ali on social media, was at the hospital being treated for an injury when sheriff deputies tracked him down, police said.

 

There was no information immediately available on Al-Muttalaby’s injuries.
