DVD just came for me today via Netflix....watching it tonight!

 

I hope they kept the original classic soundtrack from the 60s version.....the best!

just finished watching the 2016 version.....great fun!.....tight editing, classic feel, some corny Technicolor sunsets, but all was cool......some nods to the original and the closing credits were slick.....

 

lukewarm reviews....oh well.....

FWIW I dug it. Another noteworthy Denzel / Fuqua collaboration. Loved handsome Cam Gigandet's death scene. Always strong Peter Saarsgaard chewed the scenery terrifically as the villain Bogue. Also available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for those so endowed (in a Best Buy exclusive Steelbook, natch).
