I just saw Jane Fonda, again, on TV; she's pushing her book you know... How great does she look for 62? She just did an "Inside the actors Studio" on PBS and I found it to be very telling and enlightening. Hope some of you might get the chance to see it.

YAWN!!! Another star beyond prime, touting a book. How unoriginal and boring! Anyone else sick of seeing/hearing her on every tv and radio show in the universe while she touts her book? Have you noticed that she apologized only for posing on the tank, and not for consorting with the enemy during war time?

And btw, she is older than 62. She has to be at least 68.

Well, even for 68 she looks pretty darn good.

(Should I make it to 68, I'm pretty sure I won't look that good.)

I'm actually sort of enjoying seeing her "out and about". Yeah, she's backed down on some things and not others, but how often do you get to see a fierce Alpha-Female who (physically) seems in her 30's with the wisdom that comes from six decades of experience?

The next book on my nightstand is Lauren Baccall's latest revision. I may get Jane's book after that.

Jane Fonda born 21 December 1937....Oops she must have been talking in AOL terms...oh wait, that's the opposite....lol

New York, New York, USA

Jane has evolved, as we all do and although she is a figure of controversy, her life, IMO is very interesting. Her relationship with her father Henry Fonda, her childhood scars that resulted in some very painful relationships and the mistakes she made as an activist. Of course, she's selling a book. However, I plan to buy it because of the events she has been central to in history and the experiences she has lived. I also think it takes a BIG person to say she was wrong for her "posing" on an enemy tank and find her story credible as to how that happened. I also think she's one sexy chick and if I were str8 or Bi,(God forbid) I'd get in the hunt.

>Hurrah for Plastic Surgery

>How many surgical procedures has she had?

God, I can see where this is going to go.......lol

I love Jane Fonda. She's up there with Dorothy Parker and Tallulah Bankhead for those quippy lines. One of my favorites:

"My favorite ex-husband is Ted Turner, who gives a great deal of money away to charity although he's broke and has had to shut down his foundation. But he still has his UN foundation and gives money away to health organizations in countries where genital mutilation is still practiced. Which is a case of putting your money where your mouth is."

She has been very open about her age and she looks damned good for 68. If that is due to plastic surgery every woman in Hollywood should be beating a path to her doctor's door. Compare her to other actresses of her age who have had disasterous results (for instance Mary Tyler Moore).

As far as getting sick of seeing her on every show peddling a new book, why single her out? Same can be said for everyone out there pushing a new book or movie. They all make the same circuit from show to show. Whether one agrees with her politics or not, Jane has led a full and fascinating life and she's earned her time in the spotlight.

And...if it weren't for celebs pushing something, there'd be no letterman or Leno at night...

well slick, unlike you i like the way i look...and have no need nor desire to change anything about my appearance.

of course when i reach your advanced age my apperance may change...but even when/if it does my self esteem will be at such a level,i won't need to alter what is natural.

sorry you have such a low opinion of yourself...that you needed to take such drastic measures to look marginally acceptable.
