Ok guys I am resurrecting this thread from the depths because I promised to report back if and when I met Kayse. I am currently scheduled to get together with him for an overnight in San Diego on Sunday, May 21st. I will return home on Monday the 22nd and give a general report ASAP on how things went. That is the ONLY way to travel between San Diego and LA. A year ago on Easter I went to LA and it was interesting to see several Easter Sunrise Services being done on the beach. The ride, for me, is very relaxing (especially with a nice glass of wine). FYI, I've found business class to be much more comfortable than coach.

I just have to agree - taking the 5 down to SD is a nightmare. The drive back is even worse. I always take the train when I can:)
