Gay days at WDW and other florida questions.

I am planning my first trip to florida,a longish weekend(5 days)in which I hope to go to a coupe of days at WDW during gay days,and then spend 3 days in Ft.Lauderdale.

I am gussing the Magic Kingdom and Epcot days are the most fun-but if you had toi choose one or the other which would it be?

Also,I am planning on staying at the Renassance Sea World-is that close to the action?

As Far as Ft. Lauderdale,I will be staying in the marina area(again the Ren.)since it wiil be gay days in Orlanda is FLL going to be dead?Is my hotel conveinient to the "hot spots"?Thanks in advance for your advice on this.

Hey Bigguy- (glad you made it back from Mtl.)

 

The Renaissance is located right in the middle between WDW and Universal, where most of the big events take place so you should be in great shape to head to any of the parks. This year, the traditional Magic Kingdom day is on Sunday and the Saturday meeting is taking place at Islands of Adventure. The evening parties are at both properties. Parliament House usually has some decent music artists performing on their property each year (I think Deborah Cox will be there this year) and I'm hearing there is a new resort named FREEDOM RESORT which is getting ready to open and they will be having lots of Gay Day-themed parties as well.

 

It's a great weekend of spectacular parties and amazing eye candy (looks like all the gyms empty out and come to Orlando each year )

 

 

It's no weekend in Montreal ;-) but we always have a great time that weekend. Email me if you want more info.

Islands of Adventure is the most fun...Epcot is the most interesting...you'll have a great time! As far as Lauderdale is concerned the Ren is a good location...between the beach and downtown where most of the clubs and bars are...and there will be plenty going on in Lauderdale as usual!

I have been to Gay Day at WDW the last 2 years. Red shirt day at the Magic Kingdom is always the best. Pleasure Island is fun at night and Mannequins (Dance Club with rotating dance floor) is HOT with lots of eye candy but get there early or expect a long wait to get in.

 

I am passing on WDW this year and am headed to NYC instead.

Abig thank you to all of you who have posted here and have PM'd me with ideas and recomendations.

Now I have to decide whether to do Thursday(MGM)and Friday(Epcot)with sat and Sun in Ft.Lauderdale-or drive straight to Ft.Lauderdale and do Sat(Islands of adventure)and sunday(Magic kingdom)

If I had to choose, would definitely go with Epcot. Fabulous place to go and fun to be had. Been there twice. Also consider MGM studio as well. :D
