Troy Steel - is he still around?

Long time reader, first time poster...

 

I did a search and noticed that the most recent threads were from 2009. Is he retired for good, or just seeing long time clients on the side? Anyone willing to share any good stories about meeting him?

 

I chickened out of contacting him years ago, and I am regretting it. (insert chicken emoji)

I have never met Mr. Steel. I tried, but I came to the conclusion the man is a flake. About two or more years ago someone gave me his contact info because he was putting out on MSS he wanted to meet people.

 

I contacted him. We went back and forth getting to know each other a bit and to finalize a meet up. We came to an agreement, but he said he'd get back to me once things were finalized on his end. He never did.

 

I tried a second and third time. The same thing occurred. We get to the point of setting things up and he'd stop responding. So I have given up on meeting someone who makes plans, but won't follow through.

 

I don't know if he still sees people, but if he does... it may be like pulling teeth to get him to stick to anything.

sorry to hear that @big-n-tall .....no revelation, but a long-time guy like this has probably developed a reliable cadre of much-trusted regulars who he'll jump for when summonsed.....maintaining an ad and developing new clients is probably low priority (though I know you said he was looking for new clients on MSS two+ years ago).....others in similar situations come to mind, too (DrMikefromCT, Zeb Atlas et al)

Thanks for the support. Yeah... I get that it happens. I mean there was a discussion recently about Apollo Phoenix retiring from escorting and only still seeing people he's seen for years. I'm lucky to be one of that number. I get that long standing reliability gets you perks.

 

In Troy's case it reflects badly on him. If you are going to go through the motions of meeting with someone and don't have the common decency to at least say, "hey, I can't meet"... it makes you at least somewhat a flake and definitely unreliable. From my understanding he flakes on a lot of people. So the positive is I dodged a potential bullet. Besides I have no patience for people like that. My funds will go to someone more deserving.

I had the same experience with Troy that big-n-tall did. I've come to the same conclusion.

It is what it is. It not only saved me money, but it also made me appreciate the reliable guys I still see over and over.
