Hey, I noticed all these links are to Masseurfinder and Massagem4m. As an erotic masseur in Los Angeles I don't use those website anymore because they are too restrictive. So, my question is do you guys even look at https://rentmasseur.com and if not, why not? THANKS!

I do not use Rent Masseur for two reasons: 1) I assume it leans more towards escorts and masseurs who are not trained. I go for actual massage skill plus sensual. 2) It is difficult to navigate Rent Masseur, at least on a phone. I find the other sites much more user-friendly.

I'll pass the phone complaint on to them. Also, I'm on the site. I'm both an escort and a masseur with hundreds of hours of training, so there are some exceptions :-)

Next time I’m in LA, @Rod Hagen it is!

Weighing in here on the masseurs you asked about:

I saw Den last year when he was on the road, and wouldn’t repeat. He is a nice guy, and he had a nice smooth/toned body, but the massage was just so-so, and he’s a little scruffier than I expected (unshaven face, untrimmed pubes, smelled of cigarettes). But very interactive. Maybe better escort than masseur?

I saw Anthony a couple of months ago at his place in LA, and I recommend him highly. Very good guy, very sexy vibe, great body, nice massage room, wonderful with his hands (and more). Among the best in LA.

Good luck!

I suppose YMMV, as they say.

Anthony was nice, super chatty (basically ran down his entire acting career during my massage with him), very perfunctory and detached finish.

Guess I wasn't his type physically because there was none of the interactivity that others have described in this thread or others. Nice guy, nice room (rest of the place was kinda messy), nice massage. Everything was just nice.

Rod Hagen never returned my messages so I never tried him.

Sorry I missed you DE. I don't return missed calls without a voicemail, because I don't want to catch the caller in an indiscrete moment, but if you left a voicemail and I didn't call back: 1. I'm surprised. 2. I apologize.

I wonder how many of these "raved about" masseurs in Los Angeles rave about their own massages as anonymous profiles? Seems like Anthony and Clark have a lot of "fans." The "fans" are also the same people who made me want to see these two... and not sure if it's the "hype" that made these average massages unmemorable but really makes you think how many of these reviews are real. Anyone with an email can easily make an account and post.

And if I compare my sessions with the two with the reviews that I read of why I went to them in the first place. I can pinpoint some parts that are true and other parts that are just "THAT'S WHAT THE REVIEW MEANT WHEN HE SAID THIS?!?!?"

I'd love to see a review where the reviewer explains his standards because otherwise they're low.

I have been recommending Clark here, but personally I never said it was his massage that was excellent, and I believe many people who tried and liked Clark also mentioned he’s not a professionally trained masseur but he does try. This is a forum where gay/bi/curious men are mostly looking for massage with extras, and that’s why people recommend Clark. Even that, I always tell others not to expect more than just a regular HE because it always depends on the masseur’s connection with the client.

Masseurs are not chiropractors, so to me relieving some back pain is important, but at the end of day, massages can’t heal my back pain. It takes both chiropractics and excercises to achieve that, so why not cut the masseur some slack as long as the extras are better than usual?

I obviously can’t speak for others, but last time I checked I was a real person, and my standards are not that low. I’m one who doesn’t really care for the massage that much and more excited about the extras, and I really enjoyed my sessions with Clark. Maybe YMMV?

No need to chastise others and say they have "low standards" if you had one (or in this case two) below average experiences.

Standards vary per person and as you can see, YMMV.

And this is coming from a fan of Clark's but probably wouldn't see Anthony again, and I'm a legit poster.

Judging by the requirements you've posted in another thread, seems you already have the massage unicorn who is good at everything, is into you, manages time impeccably and charges a reasonable price. Of course you're not going to find another easily.

I think this is why it’s important to talk with the masseur (or escort) prior to the appointment and level set expectations. For instance, I always ask where the masseur received their training. If the answer is “Big Willies Massage School” then I know that the technical expertise is not going to be on par with Burke Williams.
