@whipped guy - Couldn't follow... A covfefe moment or a clue to a hidden message...? :) Oh, how about "Wish that I..."? ;)

@easygoingpal “Would that I owned the key to this guy.” Well think the conditional in Italian expressing a wish followed by the subjunctive... As in I would wish that (vorrei che) I owned (io avessi o io posseda) the key to this guy. Of course while we are at it would that I had access to the guy you posted as well! Plus, would that we could get a frontal view of him! :p:p By the way I deliberately used the word “owned” because any guy with a lock is usually totally owned by his master.... would that I could be his master! :cool:

@whipped guy - Great answer Signore...! I had the feeling that the guy I selected for this thread would please you (as in pleasing a master);).

 

Now, you gave me an answer to a question that I've had for such a long time: "Why are those chains and locks used as fashion?" It all makes perfect sense now...:cool:
