IMHO.. Just saw The "Wedding Date" The ONLY Entertaining thing about this Movie is the Butt Shots of Mr. "Escort". Good thing D.Messing will do very well from the W&G Income. She definitely "WILL NOT" take Katherine Hepburns place on the Big Screen.. But the DVD will probably do well, because of the "W&G" Crowd. IMHO I think the show has also just about run the course. The "Jack" character is really running thin along with the rest! Movie $10..DVD $3.99 you make your choice..LOL :+ :+

I totally agree - and I wonder if it's even his butt we're looking at as these big name actors often use a "body double" for this kind of shot. But who ever it was, Messing got an eyeful when she turned to see him as his crotch was mere inches away from her face. Lucky girl.

I think she showed admirable restraint......

Since this is the shorter of the two threads about this movie, perhaps if I post this here it will be ignored easier, but I simply have to say that Maverick and I went to the movie yesterday and really enjoyed it. We could see what looked like a couple of plot holes involving a father knowing things you really have no good reason to think he could know, but otherwise, I myself would put it in league with My Best Friend's Wedding, except that there's no chase scene.

Hi Bilbo.. I do have one question for you. After seeing Movie I and other people, missed the reason why "Mr Escort" was Escorting? And what was with his Rate being "MORE" if they had SEX? For 6K.. he would be doing my Laundry among other things! LOL :+ :+ :+

I don't remember hearing why he had become an escort either, but then I wasn't listening to it. It didn't hit me as impostant. I did wonder, however, if the reason he didn't want to meet her before the airport was partly because of his split lip? He is sexy as hell, but that was just a little bit off putting at first.

The philosophy behind him charging more if there was sex involved could have used more exploration. However, it seemed to me that he spent most of his professional time as a sexual healer rather than an escort. It seems to be a fairly new concept to me, but then I live on the thrid coast rather than either of the first two. But it is what I have been studying with the Body Electric people. Indeed, one of their fully trained sexual healers (called Sacred Intimates) told me that one main difference between me and himself during sessions ws that I have sex with my clients and he doesn't. I told him that I agree with him, but that the state of Texas, at least, doesn't. Around here, as soon as a naked massuer touches a naked client who doesn't have a towel or sheet draped over him the state feels that they are engaged in sexual prostitution. Well, that is one thing he does - though not the only one. However, I hope most people would agree with me that that is not sex per se. The difference, as well, between many erotic masseurs (Tantric practitioners, etc.) and an escort, in our reviews around here. And I think that that is roughly what the healer in this movie was thinking.

I find it very interesting that this movie came out the same year as Meet The Fockers, what with the Mama's healing/counseling business.
