Rick Munroe reaches a milestone...50!!

I know he's far too humble to start a thread to mention this event himself , so I'd like to say Congratulations...50 reviews!!

 

Now I'll admit, at first I wasn't much of a fan. I thought he was just some pandering hustler workin' the crowd. Perhaps it was mix of jealousy and competiveness on my part. I thought, oh, this is how you play this game. So, I thought I should try to be more Rick-like in my postings, but that didn't last long. I'd never participated in any sort of online forum before and just like in real life, I realized it's enough to just be me. Rick is just being Rick. (and good for him!)

 

I certainly believe it when he says he derives pleasure from posting here. I don't think he could post the way he does--day after day after day }( , just because he might on the off chance pick up a few more clients. I mean, yeah, groaner-type jokes galore and the often juvenile sex talk, but so the fuck what? I may not always find everything the man says to be scintillating, but, nevertheless, I've found myself laughing at some witty remark or humorous observation of his.

 

More importantly, Rick's been a great source of political news and I do appreciate that.

 

After nearly 4 years of posting on here, there are several people in Hooville I'd like to meet. Rick's one of 'em. Of course, just like in the real world, there are a few I'd avoid like the plague.

Yes Rick, they should do something about the MTM dvds. I thought Seinfeld did a great job with the first batch released. It would be a good model for all sitcoms to follow.

Jeff, I was sitting here scratching my head, trying to figure out....50 what? Then it dawned on me...today I got my 50th review. I didn't think it was any sort of achievement on my part, since I had nothing to do with 'em, but that is so nice of you to notice. Thanks for your thoughtful and honest post.

 

You know, we needed another Rick Munroe-based thread around here. I only wonder when the backlash begins.

 

P.S. Did you sign the MTM petition?

How are positive reviews about your performance have "nothing to do" with you ? Its late now and time for bed...I mean you Rick...you know damn well that just sometimes in life, good shit will come back to you. This is one of those times...take it and bask in the glory :-)
