I saw the above play at Chicago Shakespeare last week and enjoyed it tremendously. Apparently, this is the first regional production after its debut at the Royal National in London and then its transfer to Broadway. The writing is superb, and although I didn't like the performance by the actor in the title role, the rest of the Chicago cast was wonderful. I wish I could have seen Tim Piggot-Smith as Charles on B'way. From what I've read, he was terrific. Did anyone see it in NY? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Saw it in NYC - wasn't expecting much - but liked it. Thought the performances were all very good.
