I'm going to NYC next month, and I have two "General Admission" tickets to see a taping of the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. It says "Entry not guaranteed." Do any of you know at what time one would have to get into the line in order to have a good chance for entry? The ticket has a time of 4:30 PM and states "Check-in opens at 4 PM."

Yikes! Any show you can recommend in NYC where one doesn't have to wait in line for 3 hours?

New Yorkers like FREE stuff, so you will find similar situations at all of the tapings. If the weather is nice and you have on comfy shoes, it aint so bad. You can usually meet some nice people and have a fun time standing in line.

Two or three hip flasks also help. ;)

Go early! Stand in line and try to enjoy yourself with lots of activities which would perhaps take your mind off of having to be in line. If seeing Trevor's show is important to you, I'd sacrifice! [i abhor having to stand in long lines, but since this would be a first and only time experience, I'd give in and go with the flow.

[i'd also take a folding stool to help alleviate having to stand for such a long time!]
