I just received a notice from Tumblr that i have violated their terms by posting something sexually explicit. Many posters here use tumblr to link action shots to a topic. Does anyone know what tumblr considers to be sexually explicit? Is is random? Maybe i posted someone's picture that wanted it removed?

 

I have moved most of the pictures i want to save to tumblr from my pc so i don't want to lose them. I'm not sure what to do now. Do I remove all the action pictures? Advice here would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just about anything goes on tumblr. Mine is angelic compared to most.

Tumblr has been going after videos lately. One of the Tumblrs I follow lamented that he can post extremely explicit pictures, but they've blocked him from uploading his vids.

Despite the content of the warning, the underlying concern may actually be copyright. Adam Smith is right; Tumblr is known as a place where naughty images can be posted. Copyright is what comes to mind as a possible reason for the video blocking Nvr2Thick mentions.

Agree with all here. I have bookmarked a dozen tumblr sites that have much more explicit pictures than yours. I would suspect video copyright as well.
