It annoys me when some clients think they know the ins of being an escort

This has been nagging me a bit ever since i had a regular client come thru the other night. Normally we don't talk shop, but he mentioned his business, and how though his office is in town...he does all his business outside of town but within the state. I (mistakenly) told him the same. That i generally have to travel to reach more clients because since i (mistakenly) moved to country music capitol of America...majority guys don't want to pay and just want freebie stuff.

He then goes on to (while holding alcohol drink and admitted on testosterone meds) say I'm not advertising on the right sites and to focus on business and not myself. He said i have great pics, great this and that, but added all these metaphoric concepts of why rock stars succeed or don't succeed...and said i need to advertise to the guys wearing Armani suits, and to invest in a suit and tie (which i already have). He also added that a female escort in Atlanta is supposedly making $600,000 a year and drives an Audi. As if i fucking give a goddamn shit. Is she supposed to be my role model? He said some other things that almost got him ushered out very quickly too, such as why I wouldnt be willing to fuck some 65 year old women client, despite being gay and that i should do that to make more money.

I told him, what makes you think I'm not meeting those types of clients? Yeah sure I'm not meeting many of them in Nashville because this town's wealth is kept. You go to the gay bars here and you know who's got a bit of money but they keep it tightly knit within their own circles. They briefly speak to you, and when they do, some thirsty white queen will try to block your conversation.

It really rubbed me wrong. Where is this mythical guy in a $2,000 Armani suit in Nashville at? And does he want to pay to have sex with me, or will him and his friends turn his nose up at the thought of paying an escort?

I told him, I meet those clients all the time. I had a client last week pay me over 750 in a D.C. hotel, plus dinner and drinks. I have no issue attracting those type of clients. Has that ever happened in Nashville yet? Nope. But even then i waited two days, stranded in DC before I actually met him.

And, the same website adam4adam where the bargain hunters hang out, and has some seedy characters...is the same site that guys will pay $300-400. For him to say I'm advertising on the wrong sites is silly but i don't expect him to know how small the ACTIVE gay population is in comparison to straights, because he's a married closet freak. Gay people have to advertise on the sites where the gay people are active. Take the good with the bad. It's not as easy as hanging out at the hotel presidential looking cute and having a man approach you out the blue and offer paid sex.

On the flip side i do know there are clients who can and do give helpful advice, one here has been doing it for awhile and i appreciate it. But the ones who make all these mythical assumptions about all these millionaires and billionaires waiting in line to buy sex, or thinking i can alter an area's culture and make them pay me is absurd. Clients need to understand we can't control everything. All i can do is market and advertise with the resources i have available and keep whoever happens to find me in this sometimes niche, pendulating hobby.

Do all your clients have to be high rollers?.i know you deserve to make a good living but do you ger any joy out of what you do.?

I've never seen you post about a positive client experience.

Each of we clients are different and have different requests and, with the opportunity, enjoy discussing different topics.

@Mocha - I for one, have to say.......if you're not open to other ideas, opinions, no matter how batshitcrazy, they might be it could be a good idea for you to find a cashiering job at, maybe, CVS?

All the guys who might be interested in hiring you will not have the same ideas or opinions you do. They will piss you off.

We're individuals, and thank God for that.

Harsh but true.
