Trouble with Rentboy

The site, not a person. When I click on FindBoys, then on the map for NE USA,

then the city NYC, nothing happens. I tried swiping NYC as if to delete, then

click on GO or Advanced Search (after typing in a name I know to be listed) and

nothing happens. Is this just my old software or what?

I know and like the owners of Rentboy. I see improvements all the time on their website.

 

Professional sites like Rentboy, Cruising For Sex, Men for Rent Now, and Male4malescorts are always looking for ways to improve our product which enriches the lifestyle we share.

 

In some ways we are competitors, but I think the good guys out there provide a positive synergy.

 

It is the bad guys you should be dissing. IMHO

advice, or is it just that my Netscape 4.7 and Windows 95 are no longer

compatible with Rentboy's software?

It could be spyware on your computer.

I check the rentboy site often and haven't noticed anything about what the minimal software requirements are for viewing the boys. It could just be that they were having intermittent problems--they sometimes do--not unlike the database problems that plagued us earlier this week on the HooBoy site.

 

If you are STILL having problems connecting to rentboy, perhaps you should contact them for technical support. And, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade your software at some point.

While not likely, it's certainly a possiblity. In developing websites, the single most expensive part is developing/testing for all operating systems/browsers. Not everyone has the budget for it. (And an alarming number of sites don't even *try*.)

 

Windows 95 will be 10 years old very shortly, and hasn't been supported by Microsoft for two years now. More and more software being released today uses newer operating system features that hadn't even been thought of when Win95 was released. So you ARE rapidly falling out of the general target of website development.

 

The standard troubleshooting steps still apply, though.

 

* Clear your browser's cache. (Temporary internet files, cookies)

* Run AdAware or similar adware removal software

 

If nothing else, those two steps should make your system run faster!
