That'll save me a ton of time trying to figure out what I've read and what I haven't.

Can you please explain how it works? I too spend too much time looking only for the new responses that I haven't already viewed. Thanks in advance.

When you're done with the session, before you log out, click on the word "mark" - its to the right of "read new" on the header. then when you sign back in and hit read new it will only show you the topics that have new messages in them and the new ones will have a colored icon.

There are two types of Mark buttons. The one in the line with the button you poke to get into the Read New mode tells the site that you've read everything new that you want to on the whole message boards. Then, when you hit Read New again, it won't give you those threads.

I find the other Mark buttons more usable, most of the time. They are on the line with the title of the section and only mark the threads in that section. Merci a la bonne Dieu! When I got home from Thanksgiving, there were more than five pages of Read New waiting for me. Took me til last night to get through everything and I don't see how you could do it if you couldn't mark just the sections.

One note of caution: When a section stretches out over more than one page, there will be a section title and mark button at the top of each page. If you hit that mark button, it will mark all the threads in that section, not just the ones on that page. I sure do wish that it would just mark the ones on that page. It would be very helpful. But I haven't felt confident enough to ask for it. BTW, subjects like this would attract more of the kind of attention they want, perhaps, if they were put into Daddy's section.
