I use ATMs mainly when I am withdrawing cash for a hire.

 

 

About the only time I use one is to withdraw money for my housecleaner. This raises an interesting question - is the ATM a dying technology? Are individual ATM owners sitting on a bunch of wasting assets?

Interesting…I’ve always preferred 20’s to 100’s in my wallet. I guess it’s because most of my cash purchases are less than $50 and it feels rude to make a merchant break a $100 dollar bill over something small. If there’s a larger purchase it would be more reasonable, but I would also feel weird using cash instead of a credit card. I wonder how escorts prefer to be paid? I think I’ll ask…

 

One of the reasons I don't like $20s is that I tend to spend them. If I have $100.00 in $20 dollar bills in my pocket, it can disappear in a couple of hours. If I have a $100 bill in my pocket, it may stay there for days before I decide to break it. Part of this is a false economy, because I may still make small purchases with a credit or debit card. But it does make me more mindful of small nonessential purchases.

VooDoo Donuts here in Austin only accepts cash and has an ATM nearby ( Surprised they're still here, Gourdough's is heads and shoulders above VooDoo ).
