I apologize if this is not the right section for this post, but I thought a number of us might find this response from Rentmen to an email I sent their customer service interesting. When I log in to RM, there is a section in the escort's profile called preferences. Within that section we should be able to see the escort's "into" information. I've never been able to see this information and had an email back-and-forth with RM technical support. Here is their response:

 

"Hey there, I would like to apologize for the confusing information.

Indeed, this information is limited for some regions of the world. This is

the reason why you are not able to see it."

 

I guess the US is blocked. When I log in from Canada using vpn, I can see the info.

No, "Into" is different.

No need to apologize. This question has been posed MANY times.

Well, that answer explains it! When I asked a similar question a few months back they responded with an incoherent message that I simply deleted.

If you fill out a client's profile and log in with that profile, the preferences are available.

I have found that if you go to the "search" page for your city, pull down the menu for preferences and tick the one you are interested in.Then type the screen name of the escort you are interested in inside the window at the top of the page and hit search. If his profile shows up in the results he's into it. If it doesn't he's not. Note that you must do these one at a time. If you tick off nipples, oral, and kissing, he may only be into kissing, but his profile will still show up. You have to search each preference individually.

RM dropped the "preferences/into" feature immediately after the RentBoy debacle. Didn't know it was just in the US, but not surprised given the situation.

Yes. But both together (having the info beforehand, and also asking) is much better. It's nice to have a place in the ad where it shows whether your specifics match up to begin with (particularly if you're interested in a certain fetish, etc) - and THEN to be able to talk to the escort about it.

 

Seeing from the beginning that an escort shares a certain fondness for an activity has at times, for me, sparked more of an interest in him. And it sure saves lots of initial contacts full of "are you into X, are you into Y?" etc.

 

It can also, I think, be a fun conversation starter to say in a first response, "I see in your ad that you're into X, and that's something I really love getting into as well. So I thought I'd say hi..."
