I set up an appointment more than a week ago for an appointment for last night. We corresponded several times concerning the meeting. The night before the meeting the text from him was short. He said he would be there. 40 minutes before the meeting was to take place I received a text form him saying he was very very sorry he was cancelling the meeting. I am out the cost of a hotel room, airline tickets to Los Angeles and a days time. I should have been apprehensive about the meeting when his responses were very short. Sorry for that experience. Did he at least give a (believable) reason? Odd to postpone a meeting that late. He's been on my radar for a while though.

I would've had a plan B and possibly even a plan C before I even set out. The red flags were all over that one.

Just out of curiosity, how do you make back up plans? If plan a works out, do you cancel last minute with plan b and c? Or do you not make actual appointments for back up plans and just have guys in mind you will try to contact if plan a fails? I myself have been screwed over by guys flaking while traveling to them from hundreds of miles away. But its all so last minute that I've never successfully had a plan b work out because it is too short notice.

I was unlucky enough that AdonisBoy kept our appointment. I was not impressed with his interpretation of boy friend experience. But lately I feel like I have too high standards because others have disappointing to me too. Maybe I just need to readjust my wants and needs.
