I actually think this film is a good idea. Have you ever seen what these "X-Gays" look and live like? It's really very sad. The unhappiness is right on the surface. They rarely have sex, or even touch each other.

That's exactly been my experience with "ex" gays. I know a few that have gone through such programs and later left them behind for a real life.

Most have mentioned how tormented they felt trying to live a straight life while feeling gay. They've even had a few great stories about how difficult it was in the locker room while using sports as a new "male bonding" experience.

For some people the movie may reinforce their belief that it is possible to change. But, IMHO, for the true thinkers it will be an enlightening experience.

Scary. When I came out, my grandparents made me watch a video entitled "It's Not Gay", which was a video to try and persuade gay people that the gay lifestyle is wrong and to go straight. (Awesome title, huh?) Very, very frightening stuff. And if anything, it just strengthened my resolve. As you mentioned, you could just feel the unhappiness in the people talking.

Oh, and there were some not-meant-to-be but funny moments (well, sad, but...funny in that it totally worked against, for me anyhow, what they were trying to get across). Such as a couple describing how their son came out as being gay, and when they wouldn't accept him and kept trying to change him over and over, he left and wouldn't have anything to do with them anymore. They just couldn't understand it.
